There is an old Coast Guard communications building within the park boundaries. It is now obsolete due to GPS technology. The entrance is lined with cypresses that remind me of an old southern plantation.

This place is very popular with photographers nowadays, and I often take my students here when I'm teaching a workshop in Point Reyes. It's quite a view.
