Mendocino was founded by New England whalers and its historical nature is well preserved through strict building codes. The surrounding land has also been left open. This is on the western end of downtown.

Color printing technology was not that good when I made this photo and I thought it would have too much contrast to print well, but due to the the expanded dynamic range of archival pigment prints versus traditional darkroom prints, the final print looks fantastic.
