Humboldt County
You don't have to go far in this county to see beautiful scenery. This county has the largest concentration of old-growth redwood forests, as well as dramatic coasts. The towns are filled with Victorian buildings.
The Seasons
Fall
The weather is pretty constant here, but the rains begin earlier than other parts of California, and there is a lot of it.
Winter
It's rainy and cool. You probably won't see the sun very often.
Spring
The rains taper off in May, but afternoon coastal fog can be common after that.
Summer
July is the only month with no rain. Days are cool and pleasant and afternoon fog is never far from the coast.
