"Lowland Trees"

>

North of Petaluma is a flood plain where there are mostly fields, trees, and ranch buildings. On my way to work at a gallery that I was a member of, I saw these trees so I stopped and observed the light, waiting for the right moment. With patchy fog, you can watch the light change before your eyes.

This photograph is simple yet sophisticated. Look closely and you can see other trees and fences in the background, which creates a sense of depth once you observe closely.
