"Muir Beach Overlook"

>

During World War II, numerous battery gun placements were strategically positioned along the California coast for defense purposes. In Marin, located just north of the Golden Gate, several such batteries were established, including this one that no longer houses any guns but offers an outstanding view.

Gazing into the distant horizon of the Pacific Ocean from this spot can be mesmerizing, evoking a sense of being lost in the vastness of the sea.
