I usually don't shoot in harsh light, but I sometimes make exceptions when photographing old structures. This simple composition is reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth's work (see Christina's World). Sometimes I see paintings and think that the colors can't be real, and then those colors show up in my photographs.
The coiled fence wire along the fence bothered me a bit, but that is the beauty of photography. It's imperfections. A limited edition of this photograph was sold by The Pottery Barn in the Fall of 2008 throughout North America.
