"Road to Zabriskie"

Death Valley is all about the geology, the plants never quite dominate here. Due to the dryness, the sky is usually quite hazy, leaving you with layers of receding mountains in your images (if you are lucky).

This is the road coming from Nevada back to the Furnace Creek area, the late afternoon sun creates warm lighting that contrasts with the road and sky.
