The Tule Elk have a "preserve" on the north end of Point Reyes National Seashore, which means they are largely caged in, but at least the commercial cattle are fenced out.

 

Here you can see grasslands that are largely in balance and not overgrazed, as well as many majestic Tule Elk like this young bull.
