It can take me awhile to appreciate a photo I've made. I may think there imperfections that make it not one my best, but then I look again and think "This is a great photograph!". This is one of those photos.

This was taken in the quiet of the new year on the outskirts of Petaluma. The two oaks almost appear to be reacting to one another. A few local politicians have used this photograph in their campaigns to promote their environmental record (with my permission), so it has been widely published.
