Subjects

To celebrate Spring, we will photograph along my favorite road in Sonoma County. We will start with a visit to a bakery (to start off right). We may visit an old growth forest, and remote ranches. We will photograph hills with vistas that include views of the Pacific Ocean. We will end the day at the Sonoma Coast to photograph the sunset or sea stacks. We will focus on landscapes, still-lifes, buildings, and perhaps wildflowers. The weather can range from a sunny day to occasional rain. We will mostly photograph near our vehicles and drive on good roads.

Our Focus

Using histograms, the workshop will focus on how to photograph in harsh light, capturing detail in both the light and dark areas of a scene. If it is overcast, we will go over the settings needed to get vibrant pictures.

General Topics Covered
