This photograph of the Point Cabrillo Light Station was taken in June at sunset, just as the last light of day gave way to the steady beam from the tower.
The colors were soft, the sky deepening to violet, and the Pacific stretched out beyond it all—calm, endless, timeless.
This image has a history. It was featured in a Flickr blog (I didn’t even know they had one), and the page views skyrocketed overnight. It later became the header image on the California State Parks Foundation homepage, where it remained for a full year.
This fine art print captures more than a moment—it captures a story. A quiet place on the edge of California, lit by memory and meaning.
