With soft light, quiet trails, and mist hanging in the trees, the coastal landscape feels stripped down to its essentials—wild, weathered, and breathtakingly beautiful. This small-group workshop is perfect for photographers of all levels looking to sharpen their skills while capturing the stark, moody elegance of Marin’s iconic national seashore.

Workshop Highlights

📍 Pierce Point Ranch – Photograph the textured beauty of this historic 19th-century ranch surrounded by windswept pastures and distant views of Tomales Point. A great place to practice working with layered light, weathered wood, and wide compositions.

📍 Drakes Beach – Winter tides and low-angled light make this the perfect place to explore reflections, seascapes, and the dramatic sandstone cliffs that line the coast. If it’s foggy or moody—so much the better.

📍 North Beach – Capture powerful wave action, minimalist compositions, and stormy skies rolling in from the Pacific. We’ll work on creating atmosphere and movement with longer exposures and subtle color control.

📍 Cypress Tree Tunnel – We’ll end our afternoon at this iconic natural corridor. In winter’s soft light, the tunnel takes on a quiet, cathedral-like stillness—ideal for experimenting with framing, contrast, and texture.
