Photographed in the Napa Valley during autumn, this image is a quiet study in simplicity. Bold in color, yet softened by subtle light, it has an ethereal quality—like a memory just on the edge of fading.
The barn, once one of the oldest in the valley, stood just miles from where the Tubbs Fire began in 2017. That fire swept all the way to Santa Rosa, and this barn was lost to it.
It now exists only in photographs. Inspired by the tones and structure of local landscape paintings, this scene honors what once was.
A limited edition of this print was offered by Pottery Barn in Fall 2008, and this version remains available in my fine art collection. A tribute to resilience, place, and the fleeting beauty of things made by hand.
Looking for a different size, finish, or frame? While I offer a curated selection of standard options, I’m happy to create a custom print tailored to your space—just reach out and we’ll craft the right fit.
For collectors, designers, and those with expansive spaces, this is available in sizes up to 105x70 inches.
