Palace of Fine Arts

This photograph was taken at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco—a place I’ve returned to time and again, both when I lived in the city and later from Sonoma County.

On this particular visit, I was struck by the timelessness of the scene. The sculpted urns, the soft golden light, and the rising moon felt as though they belonged to another era—ancient Greece, or Rome. I composed the image to echo that sense of history, to blur the line between past and present.
