Each winter, wine country's vineyards come alive—not with grapes, but with a stunning carpet of golden mustard flowers. The bright yellow blooms stretch between rows of bare vines, set against lush green hills and soft winter skies. It’s one of the most visually striking and fleeting moments in wine country.

This small-group workshop is designed for photographers of all levels who want to capture the unique textures, colors, and quiet beauty of the season. We’ll focus on compositions that highlight the contrast between the orderly rows of dormant vines and the wild vibrance of blooming mustard.

You’ll also photograph nearby farm buildings, oak-studded hills, and open country roads—all chosen for their photogenic qualities in winter light.

Workshop Details

📍 Meet-Up: Begin at Lance’s studio in Petaluma (carpooling available), or meet along the route

📍 Location Focus: Vineyards with mustard bloom, rural roads, and nearby barns or hills
