The Seasons

Fall

This is a great time to photograph color in the vineyards. The coast and the back roads are always good as well. Early in the season is a good time to photograph in the Sierras.

Winter

This is a good time to photograph near the coast, and remote west Marin. In late winter, the vineyards are a good subject. The desert and eastern Sierras a good this time of year, depending on the weather.

Spring

This is a good time to photograph in west Marin and Sonoma counties, as well as near the coast. In late spring, the vineyards and Mendocino are great subjects to photograph.

Summer

This is a great time to photograph in the remote parts of Marin and Sonoma counties, as well as along the coast. It is also a good time to photograph in the far northern parts of California.
